Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and Chief Minister-designate, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, expressed profound grief on Saturday at the sudden demise of the distinguished media baron, Ramoji Rao.

Ramoji Rao, Chairman of the Eenadu Group, passed away early this morning, leaving an indelible void in the realm of journalism and media.

In a press release issued immediately after the news of Rao’s passing, Naidu recounted the illustrious journey of the media stalwart, who emerged from a middle-class background to achieve monumental success.

He described Rao as a "warrior of the Fourth Estate" whose contributions have profoundly impacted both Telugu-speaking states and the nation.

"Despite his recent health challenges, we all hoped for his recovery. The news of his passing is deeply distressing," Naidu remarked.

He maintained that Rao’s demise is a significant loss, not only to the Telugu states but to the entire nation.

"His unwavering commitment to ethical journalism and his pioneering role in the media industry will be remembered for generations," Naidu remarked.

Naidu praised Rao’s tireless efforts and dedication to the welfare of the nation through his media enterprises. "The glory of Ramoji Rao, who worked with relentless dedication for the welfare of the country, is eternal," he stated, highlighting that the Eenadu network has provided employment to thousands and established a new era in Indian journalism.

Reflecting on Rao’s exceptional leadership and resilience, Naidu lauded his ability to navigate the Eenadu Group through numerous challenges without compromising on principles.

"Rao’s steadfast adherence to ethical values and his refusal to bow to pressure is exemplary," Naidu noted.

Naidu also recalled his personal interactions with Rao, mentioning that he often sought his counsel on critical issues.

"The passing of Ramoji Rao, who reached unparalleled heights in the media world, is a monumental loss. He was a beacon of inspiration in the fight for rights," Naidu observed.

Extending his heartfelt condolences to Rao’s family and the employees of the Eenadu Group, Naidu concluded by praying for Rao’s soul to rest in peace.

"We are deeply saddened and find it hard to come to terms with this loss," he said.
