A heart-stopping incident unfolded in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, as a young child found himself caught between the wheels of a moving freight train, ultimately travelling over 100 kilometres before being rescued by the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
The child, believed to be residing near the railway tracks, had innocently climbed onto the goods train and was engrossed in play when the train unexpectedly set into motion.
Realising his predicament too late, the boy was unable to disembark as the train gained momentum, leaving him stranded between the wheelsets.
It was an alert RPF constable who discovered the child trapped amidst the train's machinery.
The young boy appeared visibly exhausted and drained from his ordeal, having endured the sweltering heat and discomfort of being wedged between the train's tyres for an extensive distance.
Following his rescue, he was promptly handed over to the Child Care authorities in Hardoi for necessary care and attention.

Calls for his swift reunion with his family have also resonated widely online.
The remarkable handling of the situation by the vigilant RPF constable has drawn widespread admiration and commendation.
