Union Minister Chirag Paswan has been re-elected as the president of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) for the next five years at the party’s national executive meeting on Sunday.
Paswan, who also serves as the Minister of Food Processing Industries, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by the party.
The decision was taken unanimously at the meeting, Paswan said.
"The national executive, in its meeting here, has re-elected me for the next five years," he said.
During the meeting, the party also discussed strategies for the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana, Jammu & Kashmir, and Jharkhand. Paswan hinted that in Jharkhand, the LJP (Ram Vilas) might either contest in alliance with the BJP or independently.
This re-election follows Paswan’s previous appointment as the leader of the LJP (Ram Vilas) Parliamentary Party on June 7, a decision made at a meeting at his Delhi residence.
All five party MPs, including Veena Devi, Arun Bharti, Shambhavi Choudhary, and Rajesh Verma, were in attendance.
