Union Agriculture Minister and Jharkhand election in-charge, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, launched a scathing attack on the Hemant Soren government while attending a nomination rally for BJP candidate Navin Jaisawal from the Hatia constituency.
Addressing a large crowd in Ranchi, Chouhan lambasted the Jharkhand administration on issues ranging from law and order to corruption.
Chouhan likened the Soren government to a destructive cyclone, stating, “The Hemant government is worse than the Dana cyclonic storm, and it will destroy Jharkhand completely.”
He sharply criticised the state’s handling of women's safety, referencing a recent rape case in Ranchi. “On Wednesday, a daughter was raped in Ranchi. There have been 7,400 rapes under this government.
Daughters like Rubika Pahadia were cut into pieces. Will you tolerate such a government? Our daughters and mothers are being insulted,” he said.
The Union Minister also accused the Soren administration of enabling illegal immigration.
“Bangladeshis come, marry our daughters, and occupy their land. Hemant’s government welcomes Bangladeshi infiltrators. If this government remains for five more years, Jharkhand will be destroyed,” Chouhan warned.
Chouhan alleged rampant corruption under the current coalition, claiming that funds for public projects were embezzled.
“They ate sand, soil, and coal. The Prime Minister sent crores for drinking water pipelines, but this money was swallowed by the Congress and JMM government,” he said.
Highlighting the government’s failure to deliver on its election promises, Chouhan accused Soren of failing to provide jobs.
“The government promised 5 lakh jobs every year, but in nearly five years, no one got a job,” he said, further pledging that the BJP would fill 2.86 lakh posts after their first cabinet meeting if elected.
