The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) on Saturday carried out searches at five suspected locations across four districts of the Valley in connection with an ongoing probe into a case registered at Police Station CIK, Srinagar.
Officials said the operation covered Baramulla, Anantnag, Shopian and Bandipora and was linked to FIR No. 03/2023, registered under Sections 505 and 153-A of the IPC, along with Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
The searches were conducted under warrants issued by a competent court as part of the investigation, officials added.
Investigators recovered electronic devices, digital storage media and other material considered relevant to the case. The seizures were made in the presence of independent witnesses and in accordance with due legal procedure.
The seized material will now undergo detailed forensic examination to determine its relevance to the case and help investigators take the probe forward, officials said.
The operation is part of CIK's ongoing investigation into the 2023 case. Further action is expected based on the forensic findings and other evidence gathered during the investigation.
