Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday met local residents and public representatives at the Camp Office near the Lohiyahead Helipad in Khatima. During the interaction, he heard their concerns, complaints and suggestions.
He instructed officials to address all grievances quickly and ensure that complaints are resolved in a transparent and efficient manner. He also emphasised the need to maintain quality while handling public issues.
Dhami said serving people remains the government's foremost responsibility. He added that resolving citizens' problems on time is one of the administration's key priorities. The Chief Minister directed officials to examine every complaint carefully and provide practical solutions so that people are not forced to visit government offices repeatedly.
He said the state government is functioning on the principles of simplification, resolution and satisfaction. According to him, the administration can be considered accountable only when people receive prompt and satisfactory responses to their concerns. He asked officials to deal with public matters honestly, sensitively and with complete transparency.
The Chief Minister also held discussions with elected representatives on local development requirements and other public issues. He assured them that the government would continue to speed up development projects and improve public services across the region.
Later, at the Khatima Camp Office, Dhami distributed assistive equipment among persons with disabilities and senior citizens. A total of 77 devices were provided to 27 specially-abled beneficiaries, while 113 devices were distributed among 22 elderly citizens.
The items distributed included 11 battery-operated rickshaws, 14 wheelchairs, 18 commode chairs, six tricycles, 24 hearing aids, 40 knee braces and 13 pairs of crutches. Beneficiaries also received walkers, walking sticks, silicone cushions and CP chairs.
Under the Gramotthan REAP Scheme, the Chief Minister handed over keys of Bolero vehicles to Nari Shakti Gram Sangathan of Gadarpur and Satyamev Jayate CLF of Bazpur. Ekta CLF, Gadarpur, was also provided with the keys to a food van.
