Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to candidates selected through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) for various government posts.

The appointment letters were distributed during a programme held at Mukhya Sevak Sadan in Dehradun. On the occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated the newly recruited candidates and wished them success in their careers.

The selected candidates have been appointed to different positions in the Urban Development, Skill Development and Employment, and Animal Husbandry departments after clearing the recruitment process conducted by the UKSSSC.

The state government said over 33,000 youngsters had received government jobs in Uttarakhand under the current administration. The event took place a day after Dhami attended the Jaunsar-Bawar Folk Cultural Festival and Sports Meet 2026 at the Freedom Fighter Kedar Singh Stadium in Nagthat, Dehradun, where he announced several development initiatives.

As per an official release, Dhami paid tribute to freedom fighter Kedar Singh by offering floral respects at his statue during the programme. Addressing the gathering, Dhami announced a number of development works. These include the widening and blacktopping of the Samarjens Motor Road, upgrading Government Primary School Nagthat into a model school, and constructing a 60-metre bridge over the Yamuna River on the Bagi-Kheda-Kota-Taplad road in Chakrata block.

He also announced the construction of a motor road connecting km 22 of the Kyarapul-Damta-Myunda road to Chhamri and Jakhani villages. Another road project will connect Sakrol village to the second Siddh Peeth Mahasu Maharaj Thaina via Bhoda-Bhalanu and Utel in Kalsi block.

The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to the welfare of tribal communities and highlighted various schemes being implemented by the Centre and the state government.

He said that 128 tribal villages in Uttarakhand have been selected for overall development under the Pradhan Mantri Janjatiya Unnat Gram Abhiyan.

Dhami added that Eklavya Model Residential Schools are operating in different parts of the state to provide quality education to tribal students. Scholarships and other welfare programmes are also being offered to support their growth and development.

The Chief Minister said the government remains focused on creating employment opportunities, improving infrastructure and ensuring inclusive development across Uttarakhand.
