Dhami said the state government was working continuously to develop Uttarakhand as a shooting-friendly destination and is providing policy support and facilities for film shoots.
Dhami also appreciated Joshi’s work as CBFC Chairman and expressed hope for future cooperation to promote cinema, literature, and cultural activities in the state.
On Monday, Chief Minister Dhami chaired a review meeting at the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Auditorium in the Secretariat to assess preparations for the Kumbh Mela 2027 in Haridwar.
During the meeting, he directed officials to complete all Kumbh-related preparations by October. He stressed that all construction work should be finished within the set timeline, with quality maintained as a top priority. He also said no Kumbh-related files or works should remain pending, and accountability would be fixed for delays.
The Chief Minister said the government’s focus is to ensure the grand, divine and successful organisation of the Kumbh Mela.
He also instructed officials to prepare a detailed plan to maintain cleanliness across the fair area. Adequate arrangements for toilets and drinking water must be ensured at all major locations. He directed the deployment of sufficient security forces and water police, and said drones, CCTV cameras, and other modern equipment should be used. Separate plans should be drawn up for law and order, parking, and crowd management during the event.
