As anticipation builds for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 final between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), political leaders and cricketing icons have joined fans in cheering for their favourite teams.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann extended his best wishes to the Punjab Kings, who are set to play one of the most important matches in their history. “I would like to say good luck to the Punjab Kings team,” said Mann, backing the state’s franchise ahead of the high-stakes clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Adding to the buzz, former West Indies star and T20 legend Chris Gayle arrived in Ahmedabad to watch the final. Known for his explosive batting, Gayle has represented both franchises in the past and remains a fan favourite. He was a key figure in RCB’s previous final campaigns and also made significant contributions during his stint with Punjab Kings.
Both PBKS and RCB are chasing their maiden IPL title, making this final a landmark moment for either side. With massive fan bases and years of near-misses, the stage is set for a dramatic conclusion to the 2025 season.
