CM Saini holds pre-budget meeting with farmers

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday held a pre-Budget meeting with farmers and other stakeholders from the agriculture sector. The chief minister sought their suggestions to help shape the state’s roadmap towards achieving the Haryana 2047 vision.

 

Agriculture Minister Shyam Singh Rana, Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa, and several senior administrative officials also attended the meeting.
Earlier, Chief Minister Saini also met a delegation led by Ryo Murao, Managing Director and India Head of Mizuho Bank of Japan, at the Civil Secretariat here.

 

The meeting focused on boosting economic cooperation and exploring new opportunities for strategic investments in Haryana. The delegation showed strong interest in signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Haryana’s Foreign Cooperation Department. The main areas identified for possible collaboration included automobile manufacturing, education, financial services, and the semiconductor sector, which is gaining growing global importance.


On January 8, the Chief Minister had also launched the National Education Evaluation and Validation (NEEV) Portal. The portal aims to strengthen the implementation of the National Education Policy through continuous evaluation and data-driven monitoring.

 

Meanwhile, in the presence of the Chief Minister, a MoU was signed under the ‘Gyan Setu’ initiative between the Golden Jubilee Haryana Institute for Fiscal Management and several universities. The agreement seeks to encourage academic collaboration, research integration, and capacity building among institutions.

 

Saini said these initiatives mark an important milestone in Haryana’s education reforms. He said the goal is to create an education ecosystem that goes beyond traditional degrees and focuses on skills, innovation, and employability.

 

Referring to the Vision Document 2047, launched in line with the Prime Minister’s goal of a developed India by 2047, he said Haryana is placing education at the centre of its long-term development strategy.
