Cold weather conditions prevailed in parts of Punjab and Haryana on Wednesday, with Faridkot recording the lowest minimum temperature at 3 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, Faridkot was the coldest place in Punjab during the period.
Severe cold also prevailed in Amritsar, which recorded a minimum temperature of 3.3 degrees Celsius. Bathinda reported a low of 3.8 degrees Celsius.
Pathankot and Hoshiarpur recorded minimum temperatures of 4 degrees Celsius each, while Gurdaspur recorded a low of 5.5 degrees Celsius. Ludhiana and Patiala reported minimum temperatures of 6.2 degrees and 6.4 degrees Celsius, respectively.
In Haryana, Hisar recorded a minimum temperature of 4.3 degrees Celsius, while Sirsa registered a low of 4.8 degrees Celsius.
Ambala recorded a minimum of 6.3 degrees Celsius, Gurugram 5.9 degrees, and Karnal 5.6 degrees Celsius. Rohtak and Narnaul recorded minimum temperatures of 7.6 degrees and 6 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Chandigarh, the shared capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a minimum temperature of 5.3 degrees Celsius.
