Cold wave persists across Himachal

Minimum temperatures across Himachal ranged between minus 6°C and 12°C, while maximum temperatures were between 11°C and 28°C. The weather remained mostly dry, and many areas enjoyed bright sunshine during the day.

The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh continued to face an intense cold wave as minimum temperatures in several parts of the state fell by 2°C to 6°C in the past 24 hours. Many areas in the higher regions of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur recorded sub-zero temperatures, especially at night, making them the coldest places in the state.

 

Minimum temperatures across Himachal ranged between minus 6°C and 12°C, while maximum temperatures were between 11°C and 28°C. The weather remained mostly dry, and many areas enjoyed bright sunshine during the day. 


According to the State Meteorological Department, dry weather is likely to continue in the state until November 21, and both minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to stay normal during this period.

 

Shimla recorded a minimum of 9°C and Dharamsala 9.8°C. Manali was colder at 2.7°C, while Kangra recorded 5.8°C. Solan touched 3°C, Hamirpur and Mandi were at 5.8°C and 5.7°C respectively, and Bilaspur reported 8.6°C. Sundernagar was at 4.1°C, Bhuntar at 3.1°C, Kufri at 7.5°C and Narkanda at 4.8°C. Kasauli recorded 11.4°C, Kalpa 1°C, Nahan 8.4°C, and Reckong Peo 3.2°C. Paonta Sahib reported 12°C, Keylong minus 2.9°C, and Kukumseri minus 4.1°C.

 

Una was the warmest place in the state with a maximum temperature of 27°C. On the other hand, Tabo village in Lahaul and Spiti remained the coldest, recording a minimum temperature of minus 6.6°C.
