Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday reaffirmed that the state government remains fully committed to upholding and promoting the ideals of Dr B R Ambedkar. He stated that the government continues to work towards inclusive development by ensuring that the benefits of progress reach every section of society.

Paying a tribute to Dr Ambedkar on the occasion of his birth anniversary, Saini highlighted that the BJP-led government has introduced numerous welfare schemes aimed at uplifting all sections, particularly the underprivileged. He said these initiatives are guided by the principle of ‘Antyodaya’, which focuses on the welfare of the last person in society.

The Chief Minister emphasised that true development of the state and the nation cannot be achieved unless every section of society is empowered. “We are consistently formulating and implementing policies designed to uplift weaker sections and provide them with equal opportunities,” he said.

Saini noted that the state government has rolled out several welfare measures to ensure access to quality education, employment opportunities, social security and equal rights for all citizens. He reiterated that these efforts are aligned with Dr Ambedkar’s vision of a just and equitable society.

The Chief Minister was addressing a gathering in Panchkula after flagging off the ‘Samta Daud’ marathon organised to mark the birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar. Speaking at the event, he described Baba Saheb’s life thoughts, and struggles as a lasting source of inspiration for generations.

He said that Dr Ambedkar dedicated his life to fighting social discrimination and strongly advocated education as the most powerful tool for social transformation. “It is through education, awareness, and unity that we can bring meaningful and lasting change in society,” Saini remarked.

Saini further stated that Dr Ambedkar’s teachings and vision would continue to guide society in the years to come. He praised his unwavering commitment to equality, justice and human rights, noting that these principles remain relevant in today’s times.

Recalling Dr Ambedkar’s immense contribution to building an inclusive and democratic India, the Chief Minister said his life stands as a remarkable example of struggle, sacrifice, and determination. He added that events like the marathon send a strong message that discrimination, inequality and injustice have no place in society.

“We must work together to build an India where every individual is treated with dignity, receives equal opportunities and is not deprived of their rights. This was Baba Saheb’s dream, and it forms the very essence of our Constitution,” Saini said.

Interacting with the youth present at the event, he urged them to take responsibility for shaping the future of the nation. He said building an empowered and egalitarian society rests on their shoulders.

Several prominent leaders were also present on the occasion, including Haryana BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli, Minister Krishan Kumari Bedi, Rajya Sabha MP Rekha Sharma, former Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, and Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma, among others.
