The Congress party is organising a large rally at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on December 14 against Vote Chori. A crucial meeting of the Haryana Congress was held on Friday in Sonipat regarding this. Leaders and workers from Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, and Jind districts were called to the meeting. The party leadership assigned duties to everyone regarding the rally.

Present at the meeting were State In-charge BK Hariprasad, former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda, State President Rao Narendra, Party Co-in-charge Jitendra Baghel, MP Deepender Singh Hooda, Satpal Brahmachari, State President of the Backward Cell Anil Saini, State President of the SC Cell Manoj Bagri, MLAs from all five districts, former MLAs, former MPs, all rural and urban presidents, former presidents, and prominent leaders of all frontal organizations of the Congress party.

Later, answering questions from reporters, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that preparations for the Congress rally in Delhi are in full swing. “All the senior party leaders will attend the rally and present their views on the issue of vote chori to the public. The BJP formed the government by rigging the votes. Rahul Gandhi has presented concrete evidence of this,” he said.

“Everyone also saw how the percentage of votes kept increasing every day after the voting. But to date, the Election Commission has not been able to answer how the votes were continuously increasing for three days,” he stated.

On this occasion, Hooda also spoke on the Chandigarh issue. He said that the state government should convene a special session of the Assembly as soon as possible. “It is clear that the BJP government has completely failed to protect the rights of Haryana regarding Chandigarh and the SYL canal. This is harming the interests of Haryana,” he noted.

“This government is neither able to acquire land for the new Assembly nor the SYL water. The BJP's policy regarding Chandigarh is wavering. Despite the clear orders of the Supreme Court, the BJP has failed to provide Haryana with its rightful share of water. The central government itself is unclear whether the two states will share a common capital or if it will become a fully fledged Union Territory. All these issues should be discussed within the assembly for the benefit of Haryana,” he demanded.
