In a dramatic turn on events, hours after the INDI Alliance’s Nyay Ulgulan Rally in Ranchi. Congress dropped Deepika Pandey Singh as its candidate from Godda Lok Sabha constituency and fielded Pradeep Yadav against BJP’s three time MP Nishikant Dubey on Sunday.
The party released another list for the Lok Sabha elections, in which names were been finalized for two Lok Sabha seats in Jharkhand. Former Union Minister Subodhkant Sahay's daughter Yashaswini Sahay has been given the ticket to contest from Ranchi.
Ever since Congress had made Deepika Pandey Singh its candidate from Godda, her candidature was being opposed. Congress workers were continuously asking the Congress High Command to think again in that matter.
Due to the protests that have been going on for the last several days, the party finally had to change its decision and made Pradeep Yadav its candidate.
In Ranchi, Yashaswini Sahay will face BJP candidate Sanjay Seth. Yashvaswani is the only daughter of former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay and Rekha Sahay. Along with social work, Yashasvi has also been interested in theatre. She is a famous theatre artist.
The party has put stakes on a young face, who may take forward the political legacy of Subodh Kant Sahay. Yashaswini was also present during the ‘Nyay Ulgulan Rally’ of the opposition in Ranchi today.
