Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has claimed that the Congress party is devoid of leadership and clear policies, arguing that the opposition is consequently fighting for survival. Speaking in Ludhiana, Saini asserted that his administration has undertaken the task of providing employment to the poor without relying on bribes or personal recommendations.
He invoked the teachings of Sant Kabir Das Ji Maharaj, stating that the government is working by advancing further along the path shown by the mystic poet to strengthen the nation. Turning his attention to his political opponents, he remarked that those who historically used Punjab solely for political gain are now talking about shaping and improving its future.
Prior to these remarks, the Chief Minister directed civil servants to ensure the time-bound implementation of key public welfare programmes and to improve the quality of citizen services across all government departments. While giving the keynote address during the meeting at Haryana Niwas with senior officials and the Good Governance associates of Chief Minister, Saini highlighted the importance of increased efficiency and accountability in governance along with the intensive use of technology in it.
The key areas discussed during the meeting included an assessment of the present status of solid waste management, human resource development, water management, National Education Policy, and the health care scheme of Ayushman Bharat. Deputy Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Yashpal Yadav, made the presentation regarding the agenda and gave details about completed, pending, and future work plans.
