Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a politically charged speech on Monday during the Vijay Sankalp Sabha at the Adityapur football ground in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand declaring that the “countdown for the end of Hemant Soren rule in the State has begun” and pledging strict action against those involved in corruption.
Shah warned that a BJP-led government in Jharkhand would bring corrupt leaders to justice, asserting that under BJP leadership, corrupt officials would face severe repercussions for their misdeeds.
Addressing a huge gathering, Shah said that a BJP government would ensure that outsiders who marry local women would not gain legal rights over Jharkhand's land.
He pledged that any land acquired by such individuals through marriage would be reclaimed, and he promised to set up a committee to identify and address issues of intrusion, saying the initiative would begin immediately if BJP formed the government.
Shah criticized the Hemant Soren administration for extensive corruption, citing recent law enforcement discoveries, including alleged confiscations of Rs. 350 crores and Rs. 30 crores from the residences of a Congress MP and a state minister, as evidence of government corruption.
He voiced support for Champai Soren, who he claimed had faced unjust treatment for speaking against infiltration. During the event, Shah also wished a happy birthday to Champai Soren, MLA from Seraikela, who acknowledged the crowd’s response.
In his 22-minute address, Shah strongly criticized the Soren administration, reaffirming that the end of Hemant Soren’s tenure was near. He assured that if BJP were elected, it would address unemployment and implement measures to support job-seeking youth in Jharkhand.
Shah also brought up Champai Soren’s case, alleging that Champai had been humiliated and removed from office for speaking against Bangladeshi infiltration. Shah assured Seraikela residents that a BJP government would honour and support Champai, contrasting his treatment under the current regime.
Outlining BJP’s vision for Jharkhand, Shah criticized the JMM, Congress, and RJD as parties marred by corruption.
He referenced recent cash recovery controversies, including a substantial amount found at the residence of Alam Gir Alam’s servant, as indicators of pervasive corruption among ruling parties.
Stressing the perils of Bangladeshi infiltration in the State, Shah emphasised the BJP’s commitment to securing Jharkhand’s borders and addressing concerns over unregulated migration.
