The court had earlier granted interim protection to Khan Sir on June 9, and during Saturday’s proceedings, it upheld that order after reviewing the case diary submitted by the Patna Police.

A civil court in Bihar on Saturday has granted interim relief to Faisal Khan, popularly known as ‘Khan Sir’, in connection with the firing incident outside his coaching institute, Khan Global Studies. After hearing the matter, the court maintained the stay on his arrest and directed that no coercive action be taken against him until further orders. The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for June 25, and similar protection has also been extended to three staff members of the institute.

The court had earlier granted interim protection to Khan Sir on June 9, and during Saturday’s proceedings, it upheld that order after reviewing the case diary submitted by the Patna Police. The documents were handed over to the public prosecutor, following which the court decided to continue the relief. While Khan Sir cannot be arrested at this stage, he has been directed to cooperate with the investigation and participate in questioning whenever required.

Two security guards of the coaching centre, who were arrested in connection with the incident, will continue to remain in judicial custody till June 25. The court also heard the bail plea of three staff members and granted them protection from coercive action. Advocate Arvind Kumar Mauwar, counsel for Khan Sir, stated that the staff will comply with the court’s directives and assist the investigation whenever summoned.

The case stems from a clash that took place on the night of June 2 at Musallahpur Hat in Patna between the staff of Khan Sir’s institute and that of Gyan Bindu GS Academy, run by Roshan Anand. The confrontation reportedly involved physical assault and stone-pelting, with both sides alleging that gunfire had occurred during the incident.

According to the complainant’s counsel, a security guard acting under Khan Sir’s instructions opened fire outside the coaching centre. However, Anand himself has been named as an accused in the case and was subsequently arrested. Two of Khan Sir’s security guards were also taken into custody in connection with the incident.

While both Khan Sir and Anand have been granted bail, the arrested guards remain in judicial custody as the investigation continues. With allegations and counter-allegations from both sides, authorities are examining evidence to establish the sequence of events and determine accountability in the case. The matter is now set to come up for further hearing on June 25.
