CRPF Director General GP Singh visited Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district for two days to review the security situation and the force’s preparedness, officials said on Friday.
During his visit, Singh met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday and briefed him on the CRPF’s readiness for counter-terrorism operations and maintaining law and order.
He also visited CRPF camps in Kalakote, Kopratop, and Thanamandi, assessing security and operational preparedness.
At the new Kopra Counter Insurgency camp, set up by CRPF’s 237 Battalion in Kopratop—a region that has seen major terror activity in the past four years—Singh interacted with officers and jawans, listening to their experiences.
He emphasised the importance of dedication to duty while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Officials said his visit boosted the morale of troops engaged in counter-insurgency operations.
