Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Gyanendra Pratap Singh on Friday met Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla to review the security situation in the violence-hit state and discuss measures to strengthen counter-insurgency operations and restore normalcy.
The meeting came hours after three persons, including a woman, were killed in an attack by armed assailants in Kangpokpi district, underscoring the continuing security challenges in the state.
According to the CRPF, discussions focused on enhancing operational preparedness, improving strategic coordination among security agencies and advancing the force’s roadmap for tackling insurgency and ensuring lasting peace in Manipur.
During the meeting, the CRPF delegation briefed the Governor on the prevailing security situation and outlined various measures being undertaken to maintain law and order across the state.
