The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday detained 10 persons, including three government employees from various parts of Kashmir, in connection with the “white collar terror” module case, officials said.
Officials said the investigating agencies detained suspects from Anantnag, Pulwama, and Kulgam districts during overnight raids that extended to 13 locations. Police and other investigating agencies have intensified their crackdown on the terror ecosystem in the Valley in the aftermath of the Delhi blast on Monday that killed 13 people.
The questioning of the suspects has revealed that some of them had visited Turkiye in the past year, the officials said.
While seven persons, including doctors, have already been arrested in connection with the recovery of a large cache of explosives, investigators have questioned more than 200 people so far in connection with the “white collar terror” module.
The module was uncovered based on information provided by two underground workers of terrorists who were arrested by the police earlier this month.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, locals denouncing the Delhi blast held candlelight marches in central and north Kashmir. A candlelight march was held at Main Chowk, Handwara, in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district to condemn the blast, the officials added.
