The Uttarakhand Police has issued a high alert across the state after a car explosion near the Red Fort in Delhi. The alert was issued on the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
All district police officers have been asked to carry out intensive checking at international and inter-state borders, religious places, markets, bus stands, railway stations, malls, and other crowded areas.
Police in all districts have been told to stay on high alert, step up patrolling, and immediately report any suspicious activities. Officers have also been asked to keep a close watch on social media.
Cheeta mobile units, patrol vehicles, the Bomb Disposal Squad, and Dog Squads have been put on duty across the state. These teams are conducting thorough searches in sensitive locations. The State Control Room at Police Headquarters is closely monitoring all developments.
The DGP has urged the public not to believe in rumours, maintain peace, and report any suspicious persons or objects to the nearest police station or by dialling 112.
The Uttarakhand Police said it was keeping full vigilance and continuously monitoring the security situation throughout the state.
