Delhi began the day with a cloudy sky on Wednesday, and the temperatures were relatively lower compared to the previous days. The minimum temperature recorded in the city was 15.8°C, which is 4.8 degrees above the average temperature.
As per the India Meteorological Department, Delhi can expect a cloudy sky with a chance of light rain and thunderstorms in some areas. A yellow alert has been issued for the city, which serves as a warning that the weather conditions may cause some disruption in the daily activities.
Data from Safdarjung, the city's principal observatory, confirmed the minimum temperature of 15.8°C, while the maximum is forecast to hover around 27°C.
Meanwhile, air quality in the capital remained in the 'poor' category. The Central Pollution Control Board recorded an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 227 at 9 am. For context, the CPCB categorises an AQI between 201 and 300 as 'poor', indicating potential health concerns for sensitive group of people.
