Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has assured that the upcoming budget will meet public expectations. She plans to personally engage with women, families, youth, and professionals from various sectors.
Speaking at a press conference, Gupta said, "I will visit slum areas, interact with sisters and families, and listen to their expectations.
Discussions will also be held with youth and professionals. This budget will reflect the aspirations of Delhi’s people."
She also criticised the opposition Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), asserting that the government does not need reminders about its commitments. Her remarks followed AAP's protest at the ITO Flyover over delays in implementing the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana.

"We will deliver on all our manifesto promises, whether it is ₹2,100 financial aid for women or LPG subsidy. No one needs to remind us— our agenda will move forward, not theirs," Gupta said.
Delhi Minister Kapil Mishra echoed her sentiments, stating that the budget would incorporate public suggestions. "CM Rekha Gupta has decided to involve the people in budget planning. She is meeting women and will soon consult Delhi’s business community. Their inputs will shape the budget," he said.
The 'Viksit Delhi Budget' for 2025-26 is set to be presented between 24 and 26 March in the Assembly. Gupta emphasised that it will focus on comprehensive development and public participation.
"Our manifesto includes financial aid for women, healthcare expansion, public transport improvements, pollution control, Yamuna cleaning, employment, and senior citizen welfare. The budget will prioritise the concerns of Delhi’s residents," she stated.
To enhance public engagement, the government has directed officials to consider stakeholder feedback. It has also launched an email (ViksitDelhiBudget_25@delhi.gov.in) and a WhatsApp number (999962025) for citizens to submit suggestions.
