Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while participating in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Foundation Day celebrations in Dehradun, credited the party’s emergence as the world’s largest political organisation to the relentless efforts of its massive cadre of workers.
Speaking to the media, Dhami said that crores of dedicated BJP workers have contributed to the party achieving this status. He emphasised the BJP’s commitment to ensuring the development of every region of Uttarakhand without any bias or discrimination, asserting that inclusive growth remained a core focus of the state government under BJP leadership.
Highlighting recent legislative achievements, the Chief Minister also praised the passage of the Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament, calling it a historic move accomplished under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Dhami noted that this development was part of the broader agenda of reform and national progress led by the central government.
Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister took to social media platform X to congratulate BJP workers on the party’s foundation day. In his message, he extended heartfelt wishes to all party members and hailed the BJP as a political force devoted to the service of nation-building and the ideals of cultural nationalism, integral humanism, and upliftment of the poor.

He further expressed that every BJP worker, under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, is committed to strengthening India’s global stature by upholding the party’s core principles known as the Panchnishtha.
Founded on April 6, 1980, the Bharatiya Janata Party has grown from its roots in the Bharatiya Jan Sangh, established in 1951 by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, into the world’s largest political party.
Over the decades, the party has been led by several prominent leaders, including former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Venkaiah Naidu, Nitin Gadkari, Rajnath Singh, and current Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
