Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was given a warm reception on his arrival at the helipad of the Government Girls Inter College, Munsyari, Pithoragarh.
District Magistrate Ashish Kumar Bhatgain welcomed him with a bouquet, and the Chief Minister received a Guard of Honour from the police contingent.
Addressing a large gathering, Dhami expressed heartfelt gratitude for their warmth and support. He reiterated that his government’s aim is to ensure that development reaches every last person, especially in border regions where people must have access to all essential facilities. He assured residents that the state government is fully committed to the holistic development of these remote areas.
Later, Dhami visited the 14th Battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) at the Munsyari post, where he was again presented with a Guard of Honour.
Interacting with the jawans, he praised their dedication, discipline, and sacrifice in safeguarding the country’s frontiers. “It is because of your discipline, devotion, and selfless service that the country remains secure,” he said, conveying his best wishes to ITBP officers and personnel on behalf of the state government.
The Chief Minister then held discussions with local representatives, social workers, and residents. He also reviewed ongoing projects and heard people’s concerns. He urged officials to speed up public welfare works so that the benefits reach people on time and infrastructure improves swiftly in the region.
Adding a personal touch to his visit, Dhami also met some of his old college friends, sharing nostalgic memories and taking selfies with them.
