Bharatiya Janata Party national working president Nitin Nabin is not pulling any punches ahead of his two-day visit to Tamil Nadu, claiming the state is fed up with what he calls the "oppressive regime" of the DMK-Congress alliance. In a sharp post on X, Nabin argued that corruption and governance failures have seeped into every corner of the state, asserting that voters are finally ready to "move on and embrace real change."
In Coimbatore, he would attend the "Professionals Connect" programme at the SNR Auditorium, where he’ll be joined by a heavy-hitting lineup including Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and MoS L Murugan. Local heavyweights like Vanathi Srinivasan and state chief Nainar Nagenthran will also be in attendance to bolster the party’s message to the city's professional community.
This time, the focus shifts to the party’s grassroots as Nabin meets with Sakthi Kendra in charge. On Sunday, the schedule stays busy with a state core committee meeting and a session with booth-level agents in Singanallur— clear signs that the BJP is shifting into high gear for upcoming electoral battles.
It’s not all boardroom politics, though. Nabin intends to wind up his trip with a visit to the famous temples of Perur Pateeswarar and Murugan at Marudhamalai. In order to become a part of the celebrations at the “Namma Ooru Modi Pongal” event at Vadavalli, he would also participate in the local festivities there.
