Eating ice cream turned traumatic for a Mumbai-based Doctor when he found chopped 'thumb' in it. Orlem Brandon Serrao ordered the butterscotch-flavored treat from the Yummo brand via the Zepto app when he realised a chopped human body part was in the ice cream.

In a photo shared online, a human finger is seen jutting out from the cone, which Serrao, had earlier, mistook for a nut but fortunately did not swallow.

A complaint has been registered with Malad Police against the ice cream brand for food adulteration and endangering human life.

"I had ordered three cone ice creams from an app. One of them was butterscotch ice cream from the Yummo brand. After eating half of it, I felt a solid piece in my mouth. I thought it could be a nut or a chocolate piece, but still spat it out to check what it was," the complainant explained in a video.

"I am a doctor so I know what body parts look like. When I carefully examined it, I noticed the nails and fingerprint impressions under it. It resembled a thumb. I am traumatized."

Meanwhile, speaking on the incident, a senior police inspector informed the probe was on and that the chopped finger had been sent for forensics analysis.

"The piece of flesh, suspected to be a piece of human finger, has been sent for forensic examination to ascertain whether it is a part of the human body," the official said, adding that a probe in the case is underway.
