A drone was found lying on the lawn of a private school in the Domana area, Jammu, on Monday, officials said. The drone was first noticed by a security guard on duty. He immediately informed the local police station about it.
A police team reached the spot soon after and seized the drone. During initial checking, officials said it appears to be a toy drone. However, to be certain, the drone has been sent to a forensic laboratory for detailed examination.
In a separate incident, police have launched a search for four men who allegedly snatched a private car near Rakh Barotian in the Vijaypur area of Samba district early Monday morning.
The car, which had a Punjab registration number, was heading towards Jammu when it was reportedly stopped and taken away by unidentified persons. The suspects then fled towards Ring Road Jammu.
Police have sounded a high alert in the region. A search operation is underway to catch the accused and recover the vehicle.
