A 34-year-old man allegedly killed his two children by hitting them with a wooden plank in Tripura's Dhalai district on Saturday, as informed by the police.

 

The incident was reported in the Ultachara Bru resettlement in the Gandacherra police station area, they said.

 

The man and his wife had a quarrel after consuming alcohol at their home, they added.

 

"During the altercation, both children started crying. In a fit of rage, the man allegedly attacked them with a wooden plank. Both children died on the spot," a police officer said.

 

The man was taken into custody immediately after the incident, he said.
