An earthquake measuring 3.2 on the Richter scale struck Faridabad in Haryana during the early hours of Tuesday, as reported by the National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The tremors which started at a shallow depth of five kilometres below the surface of the earth and happened at about six in the morning IST.
The NCS gave the precise facts of the seismic event in a tweet that was shared on social networking site X (previously Twitter): "EQ of M: 3.2, On: 22/07/2025 06:00:28 IST, Lat: 28.29 N, Long: 77.21 E, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Faridabad, Haryana."
No immediate reports of damage to property or injuries have been received so far. The mild tremor, however, was strong enough to be felt by some residents in and around the region.
