Residents in Rohtak felt mild tremors early Thursday after an earthquake of magnitude 3.3 hit the region at 12:46 am, according to the National Centre for Seismology. Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries or damage.
This was the third earthquake to hit Haryana in less than 10 days.
Just last Friday, a 3.7 magnitude quake struck nearby Jhajjar — a district adjoining Rohtak. A day before that, a stronger tremor measuring 4.4 had also hit Jhajjar, sending mild shocks across Delhi and neighbouring areas.
