Congress MLA from Badkgaon Assembly Constituency Amba Prasad today said that she is being harassed by the central investigation agency Enforcement Directorate after she refused to contest Lok Sabha election on BJP from Hazaribag and then Chatra constituencies.
Talking to media persons Amba said that she was getting a ticket offer from BJP to contest from Hazaribagh in Lok Sabha elections.
“I ignored it, now again for Chatra, pressure is being created for many days. Senior leaders of BJP and RSS were pressurising me to contest the election, but I continuously ignored all this. We are very strong from Hazaribagh.We are winning from Barkagaon for the third consecutive time and Congress has a very strong face,” she said.
“My name is coming for the strongest claim in the Lok Sabha elections. Efforts are being made everywhere to target and eliminate such people. See, when my father was contesting elections in Barkagaon, he won. When he was kept aside my mother had to enter politics again she fell in the trap of conspiracy. Now the same story is being tried with me also. Even before the elections, these people are trying to make me disappear or go to jail,” she said.
“These people have taken away all our mobile phones. And there were many files of the court case, they have been taken away... along with this, there was a box of my sister, which opens with fingerprints, they have also been taken away. They have also taken the file, which consisted of questions I raised during the session in the Assembly,” she said.
Meanwhile, an ED raid is going on for the last 28 hours on the premises of the Barkagaon MLA.
During this period, strict security arrangements have been made.
From Tuesday morning, ED officials reached 17 locations linked with Amba Prasad to raid. ED raided residences in Hazaribagh, Barkagaon and Ranchi. During the time Amba was present at the government residence in Dhurwa, Ranchi.
According to sources, ED sleuths took away documents related to the purchase and sale of land from Amba's residence. On Wednesday also the ED team is raiding Amba's premises.
ED officials are raiding the residence of Amba at Harhuru in Hazaribagh.
Meanwhile, State BJP has strongly condemned Amba Prasad’s statement and has asked her to come up with the names of people who allegedly offered her BJP ticket from BJP.
