An encounter is underway between terrorists and security forces in the Redwani Payeen area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

 

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Kulgam’s Redwani area Monday late night following information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

However, the officials said the search operation turned into an ongoing encounter until the last reports came in. 

 

The Kashmir Zone Police said in an X post, "An encounter has begun in the Redwani Payeen region of District #Kulgam. 

 

Police and security personnel are on the job. More information will be provided shortly.
