Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, a former MLA, has accused US-based NRI Angad Pal Singh and his uncles, Mangal Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, of defrauding her of over ₹2 crore.

She claims the fraud occurred during a deal for an SCO (Shop-Cum-Office) property in Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar.

Dr. Sidhu also alleged that her former personal assistant, Gaurav, and his associate, Jagjit Singh, were involved in the scam. The matter has been forwarded to the Economic Offences Wing for investigation.

According to Dr. Sidhu, Angad Pal Singh proposed selling SCO No. 10 in Ranjit Avenue, and an agreement was signed between the parties. Her representative, Sushil Rawat, and Angad's associate, Vishal Kaur, signed the agreement.

Dr. Sidhu stated she transferred ₹1.2 crore directly to Angad’s account and made additional payments through her PA, Gaurav. Despite repeated requests, Angad did not complete the property registration in her name and kept delaying with excuses.

In February 2023, the accused temporarily granted power of attorney for the property in the name of Dr. Sidhu’s daughter but failed to proceed with the sale deed.

She later discovered that the cheques she provided to Gaurav and Jagjit were cashed and the money was shared among them and two others, Ravinder and Mangal Singh.

The investigation is ongoing.
