In a heartwrenching case reported in Haryana's Rator village of Naraingarh, an ex-soldier ruthlessly murdered his five family members over a land feud. The incident was reported on Sunday night.
Five of the family members were killed by Bhushan Kumar, including his mother Saroopi Devi (65), brother Harish Kumar (35), sister-in-law Sonia (32), and their two children, Yashika (5) and Mayank (6). Luckily, the father of the accused (Om Prakash) survived and is undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital in Naraingarh, the police officials cited.
As per the preliminary probe, Kumar tried to kill his father with an axe and tried burning the dead bodies.
Preliminary investigations suggest that a land dispute between Kumar and his brother may have led to the incident. The accused is currently on the run, and police teams have been formed to apprehend him. The teams are raiding various locations, and further investigation is underway.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, and the police are working to bring the perpetrator to justice. The Superintendent of Police, Surinder Singh, visited the scene late at night to oversee the investigation. The tragic event has left the family and neighbors reeling in shock and grief.
