Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said on Friday that the state government is exploring legal options to get gangster Lawrence Bishnoi back to a jail in Punjab. “That is the only way to deal with him and his gang, which operates from Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat under the protection of the BJP. His terror operation runs from there,” said the Chief Minister after the day’s proceedings on the second day of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha session.
Calling Union Home Minister Amit Shah ‘tadipaar’, Mann said, “Now, such people have become home minister. What else can you expect?”
On Delhi minister Manjinder Sirsa issuing a legal notice to AAP state president Aman Arora, Mann asked Sirsa “who has kept and supported gangsters”.
Reacting to the Ministry of External Affairs statement against him, Mann said, “Can’t I question the foreign policy? Wherever you go, why do Adani's business operations start there? Can’t we question this? Does he take you to these places? Do you go there to further his business interests? I will ask these questions,” he said.
Targeting the Central government, the CM said, “When the conflict with Pakistan started, not a single country stood by us. But PM Modi decides to go round the world four times and goes to countries whose names no one remembers. Talk to your own 140 crore people. Sort out the issue of water dispute between Punjab and Haryana.”
