In a grand and star-studded affair, Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as Maharashtra's Chief Minister for a third term, with Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar taking the oath as his deputies.
The high-profile event, which took place at Azad Maidan, was graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, key Union ministers, and political heavyweights from across India.
Among the prominent figures in attendance were Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and JP Nadda, as well as Chief Ministers from various states, including Yogi Adityanath and Nitish Kumar.
The event also drew significant attention from the film industry, with Bollywood icons Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Ranbir Kapoor making their presence felt.
Leading industrialists, including Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, and Kumar Mangalam Birla, were also seen at the ceremony, adding a touch of glamour to the political proceedings.
Fadnavis, who led the BJP to a decisive victory in the Maharashtra assembly elections, returned as Chief Minister after five years, having previously held the position from 2014 to 2019.
His swearing-in marks the beginning of a new phase for the state, under the leadership of the BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP Mahayuti coalition, which holds a commanding majority in the state legislature.
In a personal moment shared with his followers, Fadnavis posted a heartfelt image of his mother applying tilak on his forehead before heading to the ceremony.

With an audience of nearly 40,000 at Azad Maidan, the ceremony highlighted the political weight of Maharashtra's latest leadership.
