A 49-year-old woman in Bengaluru has lodged a police complaint against her daughter, accusing her of secretly taking private photographs of her and her elder sister and sending them to her boyfriend. Based on the complaint, Batarayanapura police have registered an FIR against the daughter and her boyfriend, identified as Varun.

According to the complaint, the woman has two daughters, with the accused being the elder one who is studying BBM at a private college. The woman had given her a mobile phone last year for academic purposes.

“About a month ago, the mother grew suspicious after noticing her daughter frequently talking to a young man. She advised her to stop communicating with him. However, when she checked the phone, she allegedly found private photographs of herself and her elder sister stored on the device. She also discovered that the images had been sent to the youth,” said a police officer.

The complainant told police that the youth had messaged her daughter, asking her to send private photos of her mother. She further claimed that the daughter later deleted the photographs.

A few days later, following an argument at home, the daughter reportedly left the house, saying she was in love with the youth and would not marry anyone else.

The woman has sought legal action against both her daughter and the youth, expressing fears that the images may have been shared further.

An official from Batarayanapura police station confirmed that a case has been registered based on the complaint and that further investigation is underway.
