A major fire broke out in the early hours of Tuesday at a junk warehouse in Jhaleda Rayansari village, causing extensive damage to property, officials said. However, no casualties were reported.
According to police, the fire erupted around 3 am and quickly engulfed the entire warehouse, reducing goods worth several lakhs of rupees to ashes. Thick smoke billowed from the site, triggering panic among nearby residents.
Local villagers promptly alerted the fire department, prompting a swift response. Two fire tenders were rushed to the scene from Una and managed to contain the flames, successfully preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent warehouses and industrial units.
The police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. The authorities confirmed that no injuries or fatalities occurred in the incident.
