The Aqua World-organised Reliance Carnival 2026 created history on its seventh day with the first-ever transgender fashion show in Jharkhand, emerging as the defining highlight of the ongoing New Year celebrations.

Titled “Pride and Elegance,” the show sent out a powerful message of inclusion, confidence and social change, drawing huge appreciation from visitors.

Transgender models Jannat, Mona, Mahira, Roshni, Aarohi, Beauty, Trisha and Sakhika commanded the runway with poise and professionalism, challenging stereotypes and redefining conventional standards of beauty. Their confident catwalks reflected not only style but also resilience and self-belief.

Aqua World Group Chairman Pratul Shah Dev said the initiative aimed to showcase the growing role of transgender persons in society. “Transgender individuals today are contributing across sectors and playing an important role in nation-building. Society must acknowledge and respect their capabilities,” he said.

The evening also featured a heart-touching fashion walk by differently-abled children from Koshish Sanstha, Argora. Under the guidance of Deepa Chaudhary, Director of Saras, the children shared the ramp with professional models, winning loud applause for their courage and determination. All transgender and specially-abled participants were later felicitated by the organisers.

Apart from the fashion showcases, the carnival witnessed massive crowd participation in interactive contests such as the popular Bullet Raja Selfie Competition, along with dance-offs, creative challenges, voice mystery hunts and fun games, adding vibrancy to the festive atmosphere.

The Reliance Carnival, which began on December 28, will conclude on January 4 at 6 pm. The closing ceremony will be graced by Rajya Sabha MP Dr Pradeep Verma as chief guest. The final day promises high-energy entertainment, including Mrs Carnival, group dance competitions, drama acts and audience-engaging events, ensuring a grand finale to the New Year celebrations.
