Former J&K CM Azad urges party to target all UT Lok Sabha seats

The Chairman of DPAP and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad, urged party leaders and members to intensify their endeavours to secure victory in all five Lok Sabha seats in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir during a gathering on Sunday.

 

Azad emphasized the necessity for comprehensive preparations, stating, "We must be ready to triumph in every constituency, as our party is the sole trustworthy choice for the people. Others have misled and failed to serve their interests."

 

Speaking to state and province-level office bearers, he stressed the importance of a well-planned strategy for coordinating and ensuring success in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Azad urged the finalization of a strategy encompassing grassroots organization, constituency-level planning, and effective campaign management.

 

Throughout the meeting, Azad assessed the party's readiness at various levels and deliberated on strategies to address key regional issues. He affirmed his party's commitment to the progress, development, and welfare of the people, vowing to address recent land eviction orders and socio-economic challenges.

Azad promised to revoke the orders if his party came to power and pledged to reintroduce the previously cancelled Roshni Scheme for the benefit of the poor and landless people in the state.

 

Highlighting the party's agenda over the past eighteen months, Azad emphasized their dedication to addressing critical issues such as special status, statehood, and socio-economic development. He underscored the party's commitment to transparency and honesty, stating, "We are committed to truthfulness and integrity in our actions."

 

Prominent party figures attended the meeting, including RS Chib, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Vinod Mishra, Ch Haroon Khatana, Anita Thakur, Vinod Kaul, Arvinder Singh Mickey, Salman Nizami, Ch Gharu Ram, PR Manhas, Zahid Malik, Sujada Bashir, Subash Gupta, Ashok Sharma, Adv Maheshwar Singh, Arun Singh Raju, Riyaz Bashir Naz, Masood Choudhary, Imran Zaffar, Hira Lal Abrol, Sobat Ali, Gurmeet Kaur, Sunita Arora, and Prabha Salathia, among others.

 

As preparations for the Lok Sabha elections gain momentum, Azad's call for a unified and concerted effort underscores the party's determination to secure victory and represent the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir at the national level.
