Four people, including three women and a man, lost their lives, and one person was injured when two trucks collided in Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district on Thursday morning, police said.
The accident happened around 7:30 am on National Highway 43 near an eatery in the Pali area, about 38 km from the district headquarters.
One truck was traveling from Shahdol to Umaria, while the other was coming from the opposite direction.
Three women in the Umaria-bound truck died on the spot, while a man from the other truck died later at the district hospital, said Pali police station officer Madan Lal Marabi.
Both trucks were speeding at the time of the crash. The police are working to identify the victims.
