A four-year-old girl reportedly has been raped at her school in Karnataka's Bidar and a case has been filed by the police against an unknown individual. The incident occurred on July 23 and came to light after she returned home, and her mother found her bleeding from private parts.
She was left at school by her father in the morning and then picked up at about 2.30 pm, as per the First Information Report (FIR) seen by the media. Her mother noticed that she was bleeding from her private areas when she was removing her clothes after she came home.
She is now undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit of the hospital. The police have not yet taken the statement of the girl and have filed a case under appropriate sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
They are also investigating whether bleeding was due to sexual assault.
A 21-year-old was arrested this month for raping a four-year-old in Karnataka's Mandya. The accused was Praveen, who is a resident of Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow.

Her parents, who belonged to Bihar, had been employed for more than a year at a plywood industry in Mandya, where the accused worked too.
The sexual assault is alleged to have occurred when the girl, playing with her friends, was taken to a secluded spot by the accused.
The kids reported the case to the parents, and the parents went looking for the child and found her with the accused. The man was arrested and handed over to the authorities.
