It was an intense chase spanning 50 hours that began from one railway station and ended in another, in a separate state.
The Railway Police said on Friday it successfully rescued a four-year-old girl at the Pilibhit railway station in Uttar Pradesh, who had allegedly been abducted from the Gurugram railway station on September 16.
The police said the child, a resident of district Alwar in Rajasthan, was abducted after an unknown person drugged her father.
Officials revealed that as soon as the information was received, SP Nitika Gehlot formed 18 raiding parties under the supervision of Faridabad DSP, Rajesh Kumar, each comprising three police personnel, cyber experts, and officers trained in CCTV analysis.

Some teams were also dispatched to Rajasthan’s Kotputli and Alwar as well as Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly and Pilibhit, to cover all possible escape routes.
Upon sensing heightened policy activity in the area, the accused abandoned the girl at the Pilibhit railway station, the statement said. The child was taken into custody and handed over to her family after a medical examination had been conducted, police said.
