Gangtok will host ‘Sikkim Utsav 2026 – Gangtok Chapter’, a three-day festival celebrating the state’s entrepreneurs, culture, handicrafts, organic products and food traditions from June 5 to 7 at MG Marg, an official said on Friday.

The event is being organised by the state commerce and industries department under the Centre’s Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme.

According to Karma D Yutso, the festival aims to provide a platform for local entrepreneurs while showcasing the strength of Sikkim’s growing creative, cultural and business ecosystem.

Yutso said previous editions of Sikkim Utsav had been organised in Siliguri, Bengaluru and New Delhi, helping introduce the state’s products, cuisine, art and entrepreneurs to wider audiences across the country.

“This edition brings the celebration back to Sikkim, offering residents and visitors in Gangtok an opportunity to experience the state’s talent and enterprise in the heart of the capital,” she said.

The festival will feature exhibitions and stalls showcasing locally made products, traditional handloom and handicrafts, organic produce, sustainable goods and Sikkimese cuisine.

The event will also include cultural performances, music programmes and participation from artisans, food businesses and entrepreneurs from across the state.

Officials said MG Marg, one of Gangtok’s most prominent public spaces, is expected to attract large crowds during the three-day celebration.

The event is aimed at promoting local businesses and encouraging wider recognition for Sikkim’s indigenous products and creative industries.
