The pace of voting increased steadily as the day progressed. Minor technical glitches were reported at a few polling centres, including Narsinghpur Middle School (Booth No. 1), where voting started 30 minutes late due to an EVM malfunction.

The issue was promptly fixed by the technical team, ensuring smooth continuation of polling.

The administration made special arrangements for elderly and differently-abled voters by providing vehicles and wheelchairs to help them reach polling stations. Volunteers were deployed to assist them, ensuring that everyone could exercise their franchise comfortably.

Four cases of Model Code of Conduct violations were registered during the election period— two earlier and two on polling day itself. According to officials, two FIRs have been lodged, and appropriate action is being taken in all cases.

With elaborate security measures and efficient coordination, voting in Ghatshila concluded peacefully, marking one of the highest turnouts in recent by-elections and underscoring the people’s enthusiasm for democratic participation.
