Girls dominated the Class 10 results declared by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) on Thursday, securing the top seven positions in the academic session 2024–25.

Saina Thakur of Neugal Model Public School, Bhawarna (Kangra), topped the merit list with 696 marks out of 700, achieving an impressive 99.43 per cent. She was closely followed by Ridhima Sharma of R.K. Senior Secondary School, Ghandalwin (Bilaspur), who secured 695 marks (99.29%).

The third rank was jointly shared by Mudita Sharma from Modern Public Senior Secondary School, Swarghat, and Parnika Sharma of Minerva Senior Secondary School, Ghumarwin, both scoring 694 marks.

Out of 95,495 students who appeared for the exams, 75,862 passed, registering a pass percentage of 79.8 per cent. According to HPBOSE Secretary Vishal Sharma, 13,574 students failed, while 5,563 were placed in the compartment category.

The examinations were conducted between March 4 and March 22 across 2,300 centres in the state. Exams in tribal regions such as Lahaul-Spiti and Pangi were held on alternate schedules due to logistical challenges.

Students seeking revaluation or review of their answer sheets can apply online. The revaluation fee is ₹1,000, and the review fee is ₹800, with the condition that the applicant must have secured at least 20 per cent marks in the subject.

This year, students can also download their certificates directly from DigiLocker, a significant improvement over previous years when students had to wait days after the result announcement to receive their official documents, Sharma added.

The results are available on the HPBOSE website and other authorised portals.
