The security forces have recently increased their anti-terror operations in the Jammu region following the presence of suspected militants in the forest areas of the region.
Reports indicate that there are approximately 50-60 highly trained militants present in the Jammu region, particularly in Poonch, Rajouri, and Kathua, due to their proximity to the international border with Pakistan.
However, security forces have had some level of success in recent times, where they managed to eliminate some of the militants hiding in the rugged and tough terrain of the Jammu Mountains.
