The General Officer Commanding, White Knight Corps, Lt Gen Naveen Sachdeva, on Friday reviewed the security situation during his visit to the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

“The GOC #WhiteKnightCorps along with #GOC CIF# (Romeo) visited #Kalakot, #Rajouri Sector to review the security situation and operational preparedness,” White Knight Corps posted on X.

It said, “ the GOC appreciated the unwavering commitment and dedication of all ranks towards maintaining peace and security in the region.”

Meanwhile, earlier on October 14, Lt Gen Sachdeva, visited Jhangar village in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The GOC reviewed the operational preparedness along the Line of Control (LOC) and complimented troops deployed at the frontier for their professionalism and dedication to face any challenge.

The GOC also inaugurated the Usman Community Learning Centre & Career Counselling Hub at Jhangar and dedicated it to the local population.

The security forces have recently increased their anti-terror operations in the Jammu region following the presence of suspected militants in the forest areas of the region.

Reports indicate that there are approximately 50-60 highly trained militants present in the Jammu region, particularly in Poonch, Rajouri, and Kathua, due to their proximity to the international border with Pakistan.

However, security forces have had some level of success in recent times, where they managed to eliminate some of the militants hiding in the rugged and tough terrain of the Jammu Mountains.
