Gujarat plans Interaction Meet in Delhi before VG sessions

According to an official press release, these regional conferences will bring together national and international stakeholders to highlight Gujarat’s new initiatives, which are designed to promote balanced and comprehensive regional growth.

The Gujarat Government is scheduled to hold an Interaction Meet in New Delhi on September 4, as part of its preparations for the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences (VGRCs).

According to an official press release, these regional conferences will bring together national and international stakeholders to highlight Gujarat’s new initiatives, which are designed to promote balanced and comprehensive regional growth.

Building on the foundation of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS), the government of Gujarat is organising four regional conferences in North Gujarat, Kutch and Saurashtra, South Gujarat, and Central Gujarat.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will lead the New Delhi Interaction Meet, which is structured into two exclusive sessions: one for industrialists and another for Heads of Foreign Missions and senior Indian government officials.

Apart from the special address by Chief Minister Patel, the afternoon session with Industrialists, followed by a detailed presentation on VGRC by P Swaroop, IAS, Industries Commissioner, Gujarat Government, and also experience sharing from Industry captains, is planned. Amardeep Singh Bhatia, IAS, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India and Pankaj Joshi, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Gujarat, will also give their address during the session.

The evening session, aimed at Heads of Foreign Missions and senior Indian government officials, will also include a special address from Chief Minister Patel. Mamta Verma, IAS, Principal Secretary of the Industries & Mines Department for the Gujarat Government, will give a presentation on the VGRCs. Her address will be followed by speeches from Sudhakar Dalela, IFS, Secretary (ER) for the Ministry of External Affairs, and Pankaj Joshi.

The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences (VGRCs) will act as the forums for sector-specific dialogue, B2B/B2G meetings, vendor development programs, reverse buyer-seller meets, trade shows/exhibitions, networking, and rewarding of MSMEs and artisans. These initiatives are aimed at linking regional aspirations with international ambitions, reiterating Gujarat's status as India’s engine of growth.
